i no that it means avod but who came up with the name V:port. the emirates avod is called ICE which stands for information communication entertainment.
what does V:PORT actually stand for?

What do you mean it doesn't? Of course it does! Well if you are sure, maybe it just means a "port" into the world of Virgin entertainment.

Oh, hehe...I knew that.

Doesn't port just mean port. Virgin:Port a.k.a. a way for passengers to interact while on the plane. Sort of like a power port.

Well, no source of an acronym, but I did find this from the company behind some of it.

They are both individual names for the same thing, VS & EK both use MAS 3000E IFE systems.
