How many miles to get a trip to space? I thought i had seen this previously but cannto see it today.

Also is it still 1,000,000 miles to go to necker?

Excellant, thanks. 2,000,000 for the trip to space will take a while but Necker is much closer.

Do we know if anyone has taken a trip to Necker with miles?

Have to say that 2,000,000 seems an absolute bargain bearing in mind the touted $200,000 price tag.

P.S. The conditions on earning the 2,000,000 are quite restrictive though e.g. VS flights only, your own mileage only etc.

We were talking about this on the boat on Saturday. I'm personally not interested in the Glatic reward - its 2m miles which would otherwise get you 20 Upper Class flights. I'd get much more enjoyment out of the latter.

On the Necker front, there have been a couple of FC members that have redeemed for the Necker reward. Remember that you can only redeem for a celebration week, so you will on the island with 11 or so other couples.

If I remember the facts from last year, there were around ~50 members with a FC balance over 1m, and one person with over 3m.

I assume to get over 3m, or even over 1m, miles they cannot have spent many.

How do they do it?

I have been using the Virgin Mastercard since July 2003 and have earnt well over 3 mil miles. Have redeemed nearly a mil already and my bal stands at a lovely 2549197.[y]

That really is impressive, I manage to get as much of my expenses onto my card as possible but cannot generate that amount of volume.

Miles earned from the new VS Amex cards also can count towards Galactic rewards

The cost of seven nights accom for 2 adults sharing on Necker Island is currently ~£12K
