We have fixed the date for the 4th Annual V-Flyer Riverboat Shuffle, it will be on Saturday 14th July 2007.

Hopefully by booking this early it should enable most who wish to attend to organise their shedules accordingly. This is a firm date so please plan accordingly.

I have booked the whole of the Thames Hotel with overspill arranged for the Thames Riviera Hotel just a short walk away.

I have now (5 Feb 2005) negotiated our V-Flyer rates for this years trip. There is a £5.00 per room increase over last year which I hope you will agree is reasonable. So here are the rates:

...............................................1st Night........2nd/3rd night
Executive Room.............................£75.00..........£65.00
Triple (family) Room........................£75.00..........£70.00
Double room..................................£60.00..........£50.00
Single room...................................£45.00..........£40.00
Double room for single occupancy......£50.00..........£45.00

All prices include full English breakfast and VAT.

Please mention V-Flyer when booking to secure these rates.

Contact details for the hotel are:

Telephone: 01628 628721, Fax: 01628 773921,
email: [email protected]
web: http://www.thameshotel.co.uk

I have reserved Southern Comfort, the Mississippi Stern Wheeler that we were comp'd to in 2005, a bigger boat than in 2006 to allow for the increase in numbers.

If interested please post to this thread and I will update as we go along.

We are aiming to get costs down to £40.00 per head for next year but we don't need any money from you yet.

If you have missed the last three make sure you are aboard for number four.

UPDATED 7 May 2007

We are now just two months away from the 2007 RBS. It is now time to start collecting the funds for the event. You can pay by PayPal or if you prefer, bank transfer to my bank, if the latter, please PM me for details. (If you have previously paid into my bank, the details are still the same).

To pay by PayPal, please forward to [email protected] and please allow for the PayPal charges so that we end up with £40.00 net per head.

The PayPal charges levied are as follows:

One ticket (£40.00) charges £1.61 payment required £41.66
Two tickets (£80.00) charges £3.32 payment required £83.32

Prompt payment would be appreciated please fellow v-flyers.

'fraid not - my body is a temple, and I try and avoid occassions where I feel social pressure to treat it badly. If you would excuse me, it is time for my meditation and tai chi.

We will be there - at least two of us depending on Christopher's Duke of Edinburgh dates. I will confirm 2 or 3 when school starts again.

Great organisation Barry.
Surely if we have the whole hotel we can let off as many rockets as we like, not that I was part of it, merely a voyeur :)

Looking forward to another great night!

cheers!
