Oh well, thanks VCSS for posting that, seem's the person that was working on improving it has decided that she was right in the first place and we are all wrong.

Im sorry to keep harping on this, but it is getting hard to justify spending more money to fly VS UC when every other airline is improving their offering so much [:#].

VSCSS - thanks - but that seems to be a cut down version of what has already been posted earlier. Were there no changes?

I flew with Sinagpore first a couple of times and they supply Bvgarri kits - they are amazing and the fact was I now buy thri aftershave / skin products etc all because of the kits. Surely there must be sombody out there to try get this business - it must work- Could somebody tell me what exactly is in the new VS kits?

No they are not, that is an out right lie [:0]

The new one's are in fact man from recyclyed toilet paper, after a study done with a focus group it was found that only 40% of the paper being used in the lav's was touched by the human body and VS had lots of negative comments from staff and passengers alike complaining about the waste. This was wasteful and not environmentally friendly, but it was also expensive and at odds with their Manifesto of driving efficiency ,effectiveness and driving UC pax to other airlines so as to save on weight being carried by the plane.

By using recycled toilet paper they are not only helping the environment but also saving money. This would also explain this [url=http://www.v-flyer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14210&SearchTerms=laundered" thread [/url].

Ok that was disgusting I know....of course im joking before anyone goes nuts.

the only way they will listen is when they are flying with empty seats because they have pissed off too many business class passangers by being tight when their competitors up the ante

It is already happening!

A comment I have seen several times is that a lot of the regular Business flyers are taking enough flights with Virgin to retain their status and then looking elsewhere. In otherwords loyalty has gone out of the window because they feel the product has been devalued so much.

And this is from members of this forum I would have never thought it possible!

Re this scrooge pack does anyone know the name of this woman who thinks it's a good idea, we can simply send them all to her with a pre-printed letter saying how we don't like them and maybe she can recyle them further.

I had a really good debate with a FSM on my recent LAX outbound about the (inadequecy) of the aMEANity kit, I was pushing at an open door though, she was obviously totally embarrassed. She asked if the comments could be personally attributed and of course I said yes. It's more than a month since and no written communication (email or letter) from VS. On the return from SFO, I asked for moisturiser and lip balm and was directed to the toilet for supplies. They managed to find the toothpaste (Colgate not Rembrandt) but not a smooth process for something that is supposed to be available on request. The packs were already distributed before we boarded, again showing that the crew don't take great delight in handing them out personally.

Regards

Pat

Just got off the VS11.

Crap-packs were loaded and dished out. No pens for immigration forms, and no toothbrushes in the bathrooms. In fact, there was nothing at all in the bathrooms, and I didn't see a basket of "stuff" anywhere around the bar either [?]

So you actually get a better amenity kit in PE or Y then- where you get a pen and a toothbrush and toothpaste!!

Enjoy your trip over there Paul!![y]

Yup - I have a plan black envelope, with:

A flattened pair of socks,
A plain black eye shade,
A pair of ear plugs.

No extra ameanities that I could see anywhere. Would have been nice to brush my teeth...

Sorry should have thought about that what about if we send it to the wonderful Premier Team and ask them to forward it on for recycling as we have no use for such rubbish - speaking to them today they know all about it and they too are very embarassed but feel there is nothing they can do. Now a mountain of scrooge packs at The Office may make someone sit up.

But what's the point in retaining status [?]

To be honest the only way things will change is if the J cabin starts flying empty or if ALL the gold card holders voice their negative views as one.If the loads stay high nothing will be done.

Ade, as you are a Gold - call up Premier and give them your feedback on the Snooze Pack - they are currently collecting feedback. Same for any other Golds.

Thanks,
Richard

P.S Probably not worth sending your apcks in, they have boxes of them sat in their area already!

Thanks Richard I have and whenever I speak to them over the last couple of weeks and they just laugh now cos they know exactly what everyone thinks - just a shame that this doesn't seem to filter down to the actual people responsible for it.

Looks like now its going to be worse - With the new security of "zero" hand luggage - they will have to improve the Kit as we are not premitted from now on to bring any hand luggage on board
