I do love that. Sewing kits. Ermm excuse me? Do you have the darning wool? And a bigger eyed needle? Ooh and perhaps a little ceramic thimble?

All I want in a amenity kit is a tooth brush, tooth paste, pen and some eye shades.
Sure the other stuff is nice, but give me the basics and im happy,I shouldn't have to go hunting for them.
Your wish has been granted. After take off the crew are distributing pens, toothpaste and toothbrushes along with the the snooze pack. This is an interim measure until these items can be incorporated into one pack.
Extra items continue to be available on request.
When was that introduced, JS?
I take it that's since Wednesday of last week?
(Maybe they'll even consider including a list of what those "extra items" ARE along with the toothbrush & pen, too...
[:w])
I was thinking last week, after my flight across;
I arrived at my hotel with scrooge-pack in my bag (flattened socks/eyeshade/ear plugs in a flimsy envelope) to find the lovely people at Intercontinental had left me an array of complimentary items I MIGHT wish to use during my stay.
Naturally, I had all of these items with me, but then it struck me: What happens if I DON'T take them all with me? Perhaps IC are running a survey right now, to work out which items are REALLY needed...

Hurray! So much for not going back to the old setup!

Sounds good, but I'm hoping either the ban on chapstick is lifted or the crew will also begin to offer some kind of lip balm. I just get such dry lips and skin when on long flights!!

The Cabin Crew are not even allowed to take their lipstick onboard at the moment (obviously not a problem for me, but the ladies are not happy [n]). I'm afraid there's going to be plenty of dry lips for a while.....

Hi Paul,
This came into effect from August 8th.
When the crew take your meal order they should ask which extra items you would like and deliver them to you later in the flight. AFAIK there is no list of extra items but the crew will be happy to advise.
Hope this helps.
Cheers Marc
Hmm. I flew on August 9th, and nothing at all like that happened on my flight. IFBT handed out the envelopes without a word, and moved on. The meal order was taken as just that - a meal/duty free round. [?]
In fact, I was also going to ask - have the priority cards for those that don't get a treatment onboard been removed now too? The last 2/3 flights (with different IFBTs), I've noticed they haven't been handed out to those that missed it.

I had a feeling you were going to say that [B)]. Looks like the crew on your flight have not been reading their service notices [:#]
I believe priority cards should still be given out but I will double check with the IFBT on my flight today (if there is one!).
P.S. Hope you manage to escape from Zurich soon [y]
Not sure if anyone has posted this elsewhere (tried a search and couldn't find anything), but the article mentions "scrooge packs" and V-flyer.

Interesting read ... and a lot of reference to us in there too. Whether that is a good or bad thing .... [:w]
Thanks,
Sarah
