Some of the dates aren't exactly the cheapest times to pick up good hotel rates assuming there is any availability.

Aren't VA doing a promo on flights out in that direction at present (or could be just Sydney)? Not advertised on the site anymore, but did say something about booking by Sept 11th.
Just tried a end of Jan date and just over £500 to HGK in Y and £1018 in PE which don't seem that bad....
Thought normal prices were £100-200 higher than that normally.

Added:
Just doubled checked that Sydney thing and there still does appear to a PE promo, at least, still running along side the new economy one.
eg from £1100 on Y to Sydney in the new promo or £1400ish in PE.

Oct is one of the top PEAK times for HKG so its unlikely anyone will have sale fares for that months i'm affraid... coming into NOV things get much cheaper.

This is actually a cracking offer.

We have just booked a few days in Washington DC for the October half term.

The price is £218.80 ... don't forget that is actually £83 + tax / fuel surcharge. [:0][8D][}:)]

The slight downside is that the fares are in N, so 'only' 1 TP and just over 3K points each way. [:I]

I did enquire about upgrading one of the N fares to X, but that came out at over £420 return. IMHO It certainly isn't worth paying over £200 for 2 extra TPs and 6K extra miles.

Nice one Nick [y]

Great minds think alike and all that - I've booked exactly the same fare but a week later :D

I nearly booked that weekend but I managed to get a cheaper BD fare from MAN for the following weekend.
