Hello All
new to forum so please be gentle with me ! great forum too !

I read on a forum somewhere that this guy who flys alot with BA/VS clips a £20 to his ticket (Y Ticket ) and asks nicely would it be possibble for a seat upstairs( PE ) ( when flying VS)

Just wondering if any of you have done this and your views on it please . I have no reason to doubt this guy , his trip reports were indepth and went back many years . he always flew solo !

I have tried it for hotels/car hire in the USA for upgrades and it works all the time

thanking you all in advance

best wishes
Peter

Actually, I think you'll find a note with "I'm Richard Branson's brother" written on it works better - and saves you £20 as well. [ii]

Welcome to the site, anyway. ;)

I find 20k miles works better.

No, no - I much prefer the cushion up the jumper and 'I'm pregnant' approach.

Damn shame S-Club split up as that was a great one...

Paul's one has lost some merit though now...

And the perennial classic for those conferences...

Welcome by the way! :)

Thanks,

I have to laugh at the last one. On my last flight the crew thought myself and the young lady sat next to me were a couple. I don't think she was too pleased.

Tempting!;)

Wel Jah, to give you a straight answer, I think the guy on the other forum (ahem!) forgot a couple of zeros. Pay another £2000 and you may well be upgraded to J. In fact by far the easiest way to sit in J is to pay the extra £2k or so that it costs.

Can you imagine if this was true!! VS would have to re-fti 2/3 of the cabin as J or W just to accomodate all the £20 upgraders, might take away from the "exclusive" feel a bit too!!

Neil:)

Welcome by the way[y]

Why not make it for your chosen charity. That way everyone can throw into the pot. Your call :)
