Depends on which flight/route, Andy. ;)

LAS and LAX use different configs of planes - that determines the amount of seats available for pre-allocation vs. total number.

LAX - LHR, 24/32 are available for pre-booking in W
LGW - LAS, 42/58 are available for pre-booking in W

Andy - all seats apart from Bulkheads and Exit row seats become available at OLCI, 60% are pre-bookable now, so that allocation must be taken if you can't pre-select at the minute.

Thx. Guess I'll have to be get ready for the second OLCI opens!

Does OLCI open pretty much on time 24hrs before the flight departs then?

Basically yes, OLCI is available 24 hours before the flight departure time.

Looking at Pauls figures then only exit and bulkheads are left, so no other seats open up at OLCI - unless I'm missing something. Not allowing for VA moving people themselves or cancellations.

This would tie in with my experience when booking early and on more than one occasion seeing the whole cabin available to request seats apart from those available at check in.

DAM! Oh well. Just hope I can sit next to my misses else that would be a great start to the weddingmoon.

Begining to regret getting upgraded now [:#]

Andy, don't panic I am sure you will be sat together, best thing to do to make certain if you are worried is to get to the airport nice and early and blag yourself the exit row seats (no extra charge in PE and if when checking in the agent says, row not open yet, just ask them to call through as sometimes the row needs to be unblocked first!), the LGW a/c have a large PE section so the chances are very good.

That was mighty quick! [:0]

Thank for that. We will be getting there early anyway, would like to do Twilight but can't as misses and folks don't want to dump bags the night before etc etc...

Sounds silly but I always hate the thought of sitting in an exit row! Got this irrational fear of the door blowing open mid flight and always feel I have better chance of grabbing onto something if I'm mid cabin as opposed to first out the door [:0] [:#]

[:?] that doesn't make it easy then - wait and see what, if anything becomes available at OLCI, use that if possible but then turn on the charm at the airport, explain your going to get married/don't like exit rows (personally I prefer an exit row but always use OLCI for normal seats to ensure we can sit together but then try and move at the airport so chances are somebody on your flight might be the same)and I am sure they will do everything possible to ensure you are sat together.
