PE bulkhead seats

Hi,

Is there any way we can pre book bulkhead seats in PE?

We are seniors, with limited mobility.

I contacted customer services before our last flight. They made a note on our booking but told me to get to check in early as they went on a first come first served basis.
We got to check in 3 hours early but the seats had gone by then to able bodied people. Worse than that, they fully reclined their seats for almost the whole of the day time flight. We were trapped in our seats even though we were in PE. It took us days to recover.
Do you think if I photocopied our disabilty badges and posted them to Customer services they would assist us for our next flight?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
