This looks really nice, and seeing as though I was really impressed with BA WT+, I'm hoping if/when I travel on VS next year we'll upgrade again and I will get the chance to try out these seats. It's interesting how they are trying to really bridge the gap between UCS and EC and not just offering a simple enhanced EC product. Same as others, I'd like to hear what the new amenity kit will consist of.

[:?] According the V-Ben's earlier post in this thread it's LHR first which is some 20 (ish) remaining aircraft for retrofit. Could also these and some LGW/MAN aircraft be done before Christmas ? It'd be a nice bonus, but I wouldn't hang enjoyment of my trip on it.

As others have mentioned, no exact dates have been confirmed for the roll-out, however I am sure you will find the upstairs PE seats on the LGW a/c very comfy, most V-Flyers prefer them to the newer PE seats on the A346's, so for you its a win/win situation[y]

Pending the re-fit to the new seat type, will the rest of the new PE enhancements be implemented now or only after the new seats are fitted?

Hope the other enhancements are immediate, I fly soon in PE for the first time !!

Whilst not been certain on this, I would presume that as VS have "launched" the new PE service then it should be implemented more or less straight away. It does not say anywhere in the launch info that it will launch on xx/xx/xx date so see no reason why it should not launch straight away. At the end of the day all it really means is the new meals and a dedicated CC member for PE being implemented, the w/c issue can only be implemented on a/c where possible and they seats will be done as outlined above.

It mentions new amenity kits also.... what could they now have to be different from Economy kits and UC ?

Oh my god. I think someone forgot some table layout tags! [:0]

And, even reading through the terrible layout, the detail is wrong:

UA's E+ is called Economy Plus, not Premium Economy.
UA's E+ pitch is 36"
UA do NOT have an "upgraded meal" for E+

Weird - that was working as a table last night... and Mitchja - why is your link "http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com" rather than a direct VS one?

Links from here to VA.com go via affiliatefuture.com, Decker.

Table in Pete's VF link in the OP! Surely that was lifted directly from the VS site?

I travelled to Sydney on Sept 19th and the flight had the new PE. I could see it from the front ;-)

However I'm back to Hong Kong next week on the 8th in PE, would anyone know if this will have the new PE or is it pot luck at the moment?

ta very much

As with anything, until it is fully installed in the whole fleet then it is always going to be luck if you get it or not. The only positive for you is that HKG is only operated by the A346 and these are the a/c where some of them have the new PE seats currently installed.

But as V-Ben says the service elements of the "new" PE will begin across the the whole fleet regardless of whether the new seats are in place or not so a good part of the (hopefully) upgraded PE experience will be available as soon as.

Well guys i flew, VS401 Dubai to LHR on Monday on 'sleeping beauty' A346 with the new PE seat and it was Fantastic!! The seat is much bigger and looks very sleek and sexy with the all purple leather and is extremely comfortable. Didn't get the new amenity kits though.[y][y] Well done VS!!

Did you get the new meal service/other new benefits of the improved PE service or was it just the new seats you had?

No, the meal service was the same as economy as were the amenity kits and blankets. We just got the seats.[8D]

Hi all

Does anyone have an updated list of the aircraft that have now had re-fits to the new PE seats?

Thanks
