Have done a quick search so hopefully hasn't already been posted, however, I came across this photo whilst surfing.

As many predicted very Virgin America based. Personally I think it's a shame to see the purple band go.

Enjoy

Thanks, I haven't seen it, but I'm probably wrong about it not being on here before[:I]

See here for more threads re new livery:D

As well as the missing purple, both the fuselage "virgin atlantic" font and the Virgin logo font have changed too, and not for the better IMHO. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Well, it's "cleaner" than the current design. Not sure I really like it that much on first impressions, but it'll undoubtedly grow on me.

I don't know, I love the current livery.

Like I've said in the past and like AtlanticFlyer has said, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it!'

I'm gonna have to sleep on this one.

I like it..I guess. I definintely like the new swoosh at the back but as others said, I wish it was still bordered in purple.

According to Wikipedia G-VRED will be "Scarlet Lady".

Just the rear section looks very poor IMHO.

I think the tail needs some sort of (purple;)) border, although it does like quite a "clean" design.

Very poor- maybe it will grow on me- but it looks like its been designed by someone with no imagination. a great livery may have just been ruined!

I've now slept on this and I've decided that the new livery isn't that bad after all whether its final or not. Not the best livery I've seen, but I've seen worse. I still like the current livery though.

One question, since that VS have announced the new PE seat will these be fitted to the rest of the fleet when they come in for a repaint? It would make a lot of sense to me (two jobs in one go), but depends on whether VS can afford to have aircraft out of action for a long while, especially the LGW/MAN allocation.

I think the problem is that I believe the cabin re-fits are done in DUB and the re-paints are done in AMS.

I do think that the old livery needed a bit of a refresh, but I think this is too fresh and clean.

Bring back the purple trim I say:D (although make the band slightly thinner;))

Is that white or silver?
I suppose I will learn to love the new livery, but to be honest, the old one had more snazz to it.
This new one is closer to the earlier liveries of VS.

hmmm, I must say I, like James think it looks unfinished, there is just something about it. I'm all for moving with the times and having new livery's, and I like the "simple" look rather than a "busy" look, just not 100% sure on this yet. Maybe its like everything, just need to time to get used to it.

Majestic. Give it 6 months, and the old livery will look late 20th century.

I certainly think that the old one was a bit behind the times and as Neil said was too "busy." However, I really don't think, and doubt that I ever will, that this one is as good as the old one when it first came out.
