Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if there's a "best" seat/row in PE on the A340-600 or are they all as good as one another.

Also we're off to Dubai next July....will new PE upgraded seats be in service then?

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to V-Flyer

The 'best' seats will be in row 18, the exit row. :) These are not pre-bookable though. Row 19 only has one window as opposed to two, so if you want a good view you might want to sit somewhere wlse. Any of the other rows should be fine - bar the last at that is infront of the toilet.

Take a look at our seat ratings page to have a look at what V-Flyers think of the seats on the A346 as well the other aircraft VS operate. The A346 is currently operating in two configurations as the number of seats in that cabin are being increased.

The new PE seats are already in operation and are slowly being rolled out across the fleet. Can't say for sure by next July, but i'd imagine the majority of the Aircraft will be sporting the Echo seat by that stage.

Thanks,
Sarah

Firstly - welcome to to VF[y]

I must agree with Sarah, row 18 on the A346 is my fav also - 2 windows and i like to be able to strecth and rest my legs on the wall infront. If you want it you will have to be at the airport early, doing this I have never failed to get it, after row 18, row 200 isw my next fav.

I of course will bow to your much surperior knowledge Mrs M, but I am pretty certain Row 19 does not have a window at all (def sure of this on config 1 although config 2 might be different iirc).

Each row for PE has two windows to it, one you can see out of well, one less so as it converges with the seat infront (or behind). The 'main' window if you like in row 19 is blocked out but the other is still there, so IIRC you have to lean forward to be able to see out. You can see the 'blocked out' window in this picture, just before the wing.

I'll be onboard PE on the A346 in 21 days so i can give you an accurate update. Will give me something to focus on ... :D

Thanks,
Sarah

I'd go for 20/19 A/C. No toilet traffic, no WC light, and not right by the galley which can be noisy.
