I might be chastised for starting a pointless topic....

As the snooze pack continues to be a hot topic I thought everyone would like to know that it is being repackaged. The snooze pack envelope is being replaced with a shoe bag (like the sleep suit, it will be your to keep).

The selection of extras and how they will be offered is being finalised.

Thanks, Jetsreamer - I hope this signals the end of what has been a bit of a dark period for UCS.;)

Thanks for that Nick[:#]

Interesting to hear VS are making changes after only a short period of time with the snooze pack, seems like it can't of gone down too well, hopefully the new ones will be more to everyone's liking

On a recent flight back from MCO a service performance manager spent quite some time talking to me about how even SRB was aware of the Scrooge Pack fiasco.

A shoe bag similar to the bag the sleep suit comes in then?[:?] They've obviously found a useful way of recycling the empty bags left behind when passengers schlep off the plane with the ninja suits stuffed in their handbaggage[:w]For purely selfish reasons I hope this re-packaging happens before the end of the month and that some of the neccessities re-appear as standard and not as "extras".

Just because you change the packaging doesn't change the pittiful content - Isn't there some saying regarding dressing 'poop' up??

If you want my feedback, don't bother with it at all

Think I may register http://www.virginsnoozepacksucks.com

Sorry all about the rant, but with a minimum seat price now between £1500 and £3000 I think this is disgraceful.

I can blame all of you lot for moaning about the cufflinks ;-)

Jetstreamer,

Thanks for some good news for a change!

Did you get any inkling as to when these are slated for release, or are they waiting for the cardboard ones to run out first? ;)

Cheers for the news Jetstreamer.
Lets hope the new bag is better and that the products inside are befitting of the price we pay, both in their usefulness and the quality.
Hoping for a return of the Vie lip balm [:w]

*fingers crossed* for them to be installed before the 28th Oct.

I have about six snooze suit bags that we already use for shoes. Maybe my kids' friends will be impressed if they pull their plimsolls out of a VS Upper Class bag at school...

Of course, that is if I ever fly again.

As BA are improving their Club World packs by - shock! - adding 3 new items ( sorry, can't get the link to Flyertalk that references it ) I seriously hope that the new snooze pack will be a real step up.

Just flew LHR-ORD with UA (for the first time in about 6 months) on Saturday.

They have also switched from a little zipper bag to a "shoe bag" style kit in Business Class. It's quite a nice kit, with socks, shades, earplugs, tissues, toothbrush + toothpaste, smints, and UA now supply some really good H20+ moisturiser (this is a "designer" skincare company based, like UA, in Chicago).

Cheers,
Mike

I have dug out two of my old pencil case ones from before the OB, I will transfer the contents of my envelope in to that and hand the empty thing back to the CC ( for the sake of the environment you understand[}:)])
