Hum. Highest bit back at £1.50. Looks like the seller rejected your bid as so much smoke an mirrors GJ - Global-gypsy must be remarkably perceptive I guess!

Dear Luddite:

One entered a maximum bid on e-Bay, but only the minimum amount needed to trump the most previous bid is listed. This means that, though one bid GBP 100, it will only show that one bid the next increment up from a previous bid (or, in this case, the opening bid of 99p). Any bids from others will now be automatically trumped and still show one winning until a contesting bidder enters an amount greater than one's maximum bid.

You might want to try an online auction someday and see how it works -- or do they not yet have them in Britain?

Of course, now you've told us what your maximum bid is, we could go onto eBay and bid up to £99 so you'd have to pay £100 for it.... [:w][}:)]:D:D

OH FAB! I can not stand the Snooze Pack! The economy amenity pack is better than you get in UC! Do you know when this will come in to operation???:D I hope it comes before my trip in December!

As the snooze pack continues to be a hot topic I thought everyone would like to know that it is being repackaged. The snooze pack envelope is being replaced with a shoe bag (like the sleep suit, it will be your to keep).
The selection of extras and how they will be offered is being finalised.
Back OT. Returned recently from two transcon segments on Alitalia. Though the flight and the food were nothing special, the amenity kits on both flights were very good.
On the outbound leg EWR-FCO the kits were grey leather boxes with lids that close on an invisible magnet. Inside were small bottles (not tubes) of cremes/lotions plus socks, eyeshades, a see through envelope containing a full size toothbrush and a tube of Colgate. The box was great.
Inbound instead of the same box a grey shaving kit type container was offered. On the top the word "Bulgari" was stamped in gold lettering. Contents included the aforementioned brand's cremes, etc. plus the same contents from the outbound segment.
If VS offered either kit I dare say any of us would be just fine with receiving it. Not certain of the impact of a kit in a shoe bag, but will reserve judgment until its debut.
