In reference to this thread, I wrote to Customer Service to highlight the problems I had seen and others from this board had witnessed.
Here is their rather limp wristed reply.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

I was sorry to learn that your flight last year was marred by a few
passengers making a nuisance of themselves whilst you were travelling to
and from Las Vegas. It is especially concerning that this problem
recurred on another flight. It is never pleasant to witness, or be in
close proximity to, any untoward behaviour from other passengers. Other
than having a quiet word with the passengers concerned there is little
that the cabin crew can do. That said should passengers behave in such
a manner that they contravene safety regulations, the In-flight
Supervisor will always bring the problem to the attention of the Captain
so that appropriate action may be taken.

You may be assured that if our ground staff do consider passengers to be
a potential risk to the safety of other passengers or the aircraft, they
will deny them boarding. However, I am sorry if you feel that some of
the passengers should not have been permitted to travel. Please be
assured that we have forwarded your comments to the relevant
departmental managers for their information.

In closing, thank you once again for contacting us. We do hope that the
service onboard our flights will keep your disappointment to the
minimum. Whilst I understand your apprehension in using our services, I
do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you onboard again
soon.

Hmmmmm, no mention that they are to blame serving it, or that they could do everyone a favour and limit or stop the service to drunks.

Matty, I don't know what more you expected from VAA but I think their reply is appropriate given there is little they can do retrospectively about the incident.

They have clearly stated their position and the courses of action open to cabin and ground crew and rest assured these actions do get implemented.

They have also forwarded you complaint to to the relevant departmental managers.

They must support the crew who it appears, did not consider the pax had had too much to drink, that is assuming they continued to serve them with alcohol.

Having taken a couple of recent LAS - LGW flights and from talking to guests at the hotel who have also taken this flight it seems that VS are now stopping the alcohol about halfway through the flight, I do not know if this is also being done in UC but it is in PE and Y.Again this is only my own experience and from what I have heard, this may not be the way it is on every flight.

Mmmm...always one to think tangentially, so how about 2 separate sections in the Y cabin: one for drinkers and the other for non-drinkers? A bit like how the cabin used to be split for smokers years ago.

It's nice to be back and congrats to pete for the site.

Errr hows' about.....we may consider a review of our free flowing alcohol policy we have to Stag and Hen groups on this route, seeing as this isn't an isolated case.[?]

As far as I'm concered, they supply the alcohol therefore they shoul'd take part responsibilty, as they, in my opinion are aiding and abetting being drunk onboard an aircraft.
