Does anyone know what has happened to todays VS073 / 074 flight? The VS073 left Manchester a minute early, but is expected to land over an hour late in Orlando. More significantly, the return VS074 should leave at 19:40, but is now estimated to leave at 03:05 on Sunday morning.

Sounds like the aircraft has gone very "technical" to me - but clearly a problem they think can be rectified by an 8 hour delay. (I would not want to be stuck in MCO for a delay of this length - I hope VS are providing hotel rooms, given that most pax would have checked out of their accommodation this morning).

Thanks
James

There's been bad weather in the Boston and New York area today which may have resulted in a routing in land rather than down the Eastern Coast of the USA. The Gatwick flights are also over an hour late getting into Orlando.

VS do look after their delayed passangers ... Take it from one whose had 1st hand experience having been put up in the Hyatt at the airport during a 12 hour delay whilst awaiting flightdeck crew.

Well our flight was an hour late getting into Orlando today because it was an hour late leaving Gatwick. The reason? A problem with the brakes which was sorted out 30 minutes after departure time but needed the next thirty minutes to do the paperwork!!

However we were still about 20 minutes later than originally told and Aer John has reminded me that the pilot said we had lost time on the way - probably avoiding storms
