Im sure many of you have received this - but for those who haven't I just got this from the FC -

The long queues and delays experienced by airline travellers last week as a result of the increased security alert were truly awful. Every airline flying between the UK and US was affected, but thanks to our amazing staff and the fantastic cooperation of our passengers, we were able to operate all our flights on the first two days. Only over the weekend when we were instructed to reduce our services by the BAA, did we reluctantly cancel nine flights. At a time when there were hundreds of flight cancellations we believe we can be proud of this achievement.

If your journey was affected we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. If you are travelling with us soon, or thinking about booking your next Virgin Atlantic flight, we promise we'll continue to do everything we can to make sure you get to your destination safely with minimum delay.

As you know the heightened security situation has improved, however it's likely that some of the measures introduced will be with us for some time, and we are continuing to work closely with the Department of Transport and the airport authorities to minimise disruption.

As you will have seen over the last week, information and advice change regularly, so if you're travelling please check out or website at http://www.virginatlantic.com which will have the most up to date situation.

Many thanks for your continued support, and we hope to see you onboard again soon.

With best wishes

The Flying Club Communication team

FC emails sometimes fall into spam traps and email anti-virus scrubbers, as they are heavily formatted and contain links to external images.

Understandable - however, without going into too much detail, that's not possible with my setup :)

Cheers

Similar to Michael but my next booking is not until December so I'd assumed they would not bother this early?
