Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but it is to do with Virgin aswell at BA.

As we all know, BA fly there flight to MIA out of T3. Is this so that they can keep an eye on us or is it just that there is no space anywhere else. Also, do BA have a lounge in T3 or do they use the AA lounge?

Cheers

To further the question, Why are there random flight from certain terminals at LHR?

They actually have 2 flights to MIA out of T3 a day now. They don't have a lounge in T3 but I couldn't tell you who's they do use for sure but AA's would be a good guess.

As to why, a cynic would tell you it's so they can sit on the T3 Operators committee and then have an amount of control in every terminal to help them get their way all the time. ;)

IIRC BA's Australia operations will also move to T3 (as will Qantas) when BA's other flights move from T4 to T5.

I've heard that mentioned elswhere too!

Yes, I've heard that too and I don't think it's that cynical, just aviation politics;)

All BA Aus flights(SIN,BKK)and QF will use T3 to begin with. When the second phase of T5 opens they are then suppose to move in.I think I read after 2010[:0].Whos going to get T4?

Correct you get an invite to the admirals club or flagship lounge, but you can use the CX lounge under OW rules if it's open;).

Thanks for clearing that up, jaguarpig:) Any reason as to why just the Aussie flights? Will MIA be staying there?

Don't think there is room for the QF services at T5 so as an interim measure the BA flights are going into 3 as well as they are all code shares. The MIA will go to T5.

There is going to be an empty T4, would think some of T3 will move there.
