Hi guys, we are travelling to MCO on VS27 in Nov and we have already pre booked our seats but to be honest I'm not 100% thrilled with them. We have never done OLCI before and I was wondering if you can change your seats when you check in as I kinda have my eye on seats in rows 21, 22, 23 which were not avaliable to pre book. Are those seats reserved for a special reason as they are not bulk head seats. Any help would be really appricated. [y]

The seats in row 21 on a LGW / MAN 747 are bulkhead rows - these are normally not available to pre-book as it's where families with babies are often put, due to the increased space of not having a seat in front of you.

Row's 21 / 22 / 23 make a nice "mini cabin" of the economy section & you are amongst the first people off the aircraft on arrival - a real bonus if US immigration is busy. The big risk of sitting in this cabin is that there could well be a number of babies in the vicinity - and babies are not always quiet.

I have never been able to pre-book via OLCI seats in this area - I have been allocated them on over 50% of my flights to MCO though. (NB: I did have a friend working at VS at the time). I think there may be a "marker" of sorts that VS put on your booking so you can see seats in this area. On my last flight to MCO, I was allocated seat 22A when I checked in online and 22B & 22C were showing as available also, as were quite a few other seats in rows 21-23. A few minutes later my friends I was travelling with tried OLCI [with the hope of nabbing 22B & 22C] and they could not see any available seats in rows 21-23. I don't think all the available seats in this cabin would have gone in the space of a few mins, 22 hours before departure.

Yeah - to answer yoru question you can do OLCI and as Kraken says you may find these seats available - but if not then you can still change to other seats at check in. As ever - if you are keen on specific seats then get there early - VS is currently opening for check in 4 hours ahead of flight time!!

Its always worth checking the "manage your booking" section every few days as you get nearer the departure date.

Good luck and have a good trip.:D
