On the flight movements page of this website it says that g-vred has been flying between lgw and lhr a lot. i can see this is because the bgi flight now leaves from lhr but returns to lgw. why is this. i am mistaken or didnt it used to fly lgw both ways.

Also, because vred is the newest in the fleet, and therefore in the best condition, why are VS not flying it on its biggest routes like LAX,SFO,HKG-SYD,JFK?

I *think* (but I am willing to be corrected) that G-VRED took the England cricket team to SYD last week, so it is getting around. I've worked on it a few times at Heathrow recently, but I can't remember which flights it was(!)

[?] Since when. AFAIK BGI always has left LGW and returned to LGW. Movements on the database on VF arent always correct.

If VS re-position an a/c from LHR to cover a LGW service which operates same day, the database sometimes doesn't recognise the a/c re-positioning. For example, LHR-LGW-BGI on the same day shows as LHR-BGI occasionally.

If the a/c is moved during the previous evening, the database will normally show the currect movements. Eg LHR-LGW and LGW-BGI....:D

Recently, VS have only changed departures from their scheduled airport during the week after the extra security restrictions that were added in August. This was only done because they were forced to run a restricted timetable by BAA at LHR...[n] They run a few LGW-SFO's/LAX's for example...:D
