I have just called UC and asked if I can buy some mileage and use it to get a car to LHR?:D

I have been told NO, we do not do this?[:#]

Can anyone confirm if this is correct?[y]

If we can buy the mileage when travelling in UC can anyone say how much it will cost to get the mileage needed to get a Limo?[?]

Thanks very much[y]

A limo can only be booked with miles when you are travelling on a UCS ticket bought with or upgraded with miles. Full info is on this page of the VS website.

To clarify. You can buy miles (from Virgin). Full stop. What you use them for is up to you as long as you follow the spending miles rules. As Neil has stated, if you have already booked seats in G then you can buy a one way limo ride to the covered counties for 10,000 miles.

Well spotted, If I was to explain you would be bored!

I asked UC when I phoned and was told NO it cannot be done, I did say there is a way and was still told NO it cannot.

If there is anyway PLEASE let me know?:D

Thanks

have you tried calling the flying club rather than the premier line?

Now I am confused. Acording to the T&C you only get a one way transfer with 10,000 miles. I have purchased a RETURN to Nottingham on a G ticket for 10,000 miles. Done it a couple of weeks ago

Then EITHER they've screwed up and only charged you for 1 [y], OR you're in for a shock when you land back at Heathrow with no car waiting... [:0]

Check your statement on line. Against the 10K miles it should read 'reward. one way limousine service'.

...and they should have been deducted at booking so that might help get to the bottom of it.

Thanks folks, no wonder I am confused!

I have been away for a long weekend and could not get access to a PC!! So I have not been ignoring everyone.

Yes I paid cash for our flights. No miles or anything else just lolly.

My interpretation is that NO I am not entitled to a limo if I purchase additional mileage.

Thanks

Just checked my statement, it does say one way, phoned up to ask for the miles to be returned to my account, as I asked for, and was told, that 10,000 miles was for a return. Was told by FC that they don't have the authority to return the miles, and I have to contact customer relations. I am sick as a parrot, was really looking forward to it. Had even bought the miles especially for the purpose. Was told that I can not have a refund either, I am afraid that this stinks to me.

There have been several issues I have had with my pending trip and I am not convinced that Virgin are as "with it" as they think they are! [n]
But on a positive I am looking forward to my UC trip, if its good I have another three to book for this year, so fingers crossed. I am not a BA person! [:?]

Just to confirm got a "D" booked to BOM on 17 Dec (back 23 Dec) and limo included there and back - from Cambs. Initially Travel Agent (Company) had said no limo - but she rang Virgin, confirmed there was and let me know!!

As for 11 Jan, got a "Z" to BOM so I've gotta walk..:-) Well at £1126 what can I expect!!

And the £1126 is for UC to Bom?
