I am travelling to Cuba next year with my disabled Uncle. He can walk but is very slow and infirm. I have requested special assistance but have not heard back. I am looking to see if the flights from Gatwick use Air Bridges or buses as I noticed all the planes on remote stands when at Gatwick this year. Plus if they use pre boarding? If so can this be arranged at Twilight Check in? I realise I could call Virgin but I can't take the hold music!

Many Thanks

Welcome to the site. :D
My limited experience with Virgin Special Assistance has been first class. If you ring them direct on 0870 380 2004, you shouldn't be on hold for too long.

Most of the things you want to know can be found on this page, on the VS website.

I know that they are well used to dealing with less mobile passengers, and I have never heard anything but positive feedback of the way they are treated.

Good luck, and please let us know how you get on.
