Hello all,

I'm flying out on Friday with my partner and have already pre-selected the seats I wanted.

As it is our office Christmas party tomorrow night, I am unable to use OLCI for at least 5 or 6 hours after it opens. Is there any danger of losing my selected seats, or will they be reserved for me until I check-in online?

Many thanks....

Your pre-selected seats will not be available for others who use OLCI to select so there is no danger of anybody else taking them. The only way you might get changed is if you don't do OLCI at all and then at the airport somebody else is allocated your seat (shouldn't happen, but sometimes does[n])

Hi,

You should be fine, they only generally change seats if the aircraft changes. So you should be fine using the OLCI a few hours after it opens.

Enjoy your Christmas Party and your trip!

You just have to love V-Flyer....all these people just eager to assist [^]

Many thanks Neil & Dominic. If I have to fly Y then I wnat to make sure I get the seats I want (I did consider upgrading myself to UC and leaving my partner in Y (he's on my CC companion ticket) but the flight is to celebrate my 30th and this would have had a direct influence on my birthday pressie)[:p]

Now - I don't want to be a kill-joy here but...

On my last flight back from EWR in October, I had used the OLCI and selected 64K as the best of what was available. The OCLI confirmed my selection and let me proceed as normal. I go to check-in (UC queue is quicker than bag-drop at EWR )and find that I'm in 63K. "Why?" "Because 64K is already allocated" As it happens it was a colleague who had also used OLCI and selected 64K - I know this because they were my CH guest!
OCLI is fallible like all computers - never been assigned the same seat as someone else?

...and it is obvious that being a Goldie made no difference to the system as to who won!
