Just checked my FC statement and found and unexpected 6000 miles in there, described as a 'Member Recommendation Bonus', 3K each from my mum and dads' trip out to LAX with us. Not complaining, of course, but how the devil did I get them (and how can I get more [}:)])?

This must be Miles More Friends. You can send anyone a e-card through the MMF section and if anyone signs up to Frequent Flyer and then takes a qualifying flight you get some bonus miles.

That's what I thought, but I didn't sign up to MMF and ma and pa have been silver for the last 5 years!

Doubt he personally had much to do with it!

Glad you got the unexpected miles though [y]. Good for you. Of course now that you have posted it here, Juliet will probably be along in a minute, realise the mistake and have it corrected;)[}:)]

You think not...? No note for him then!

And in the interests of avoiding having my gift 're-patriated', I reckon I should spend 'em quick.

I will do no such thing!!

Enjoy the miles! Sometime, somewhere you may have recommended them, and the 'qualifying flights' probably just came in now.

That's right Juliet, now you mention it, I distinctly remember recommending them, no idea how it ever slipped my mind... ;)
