Sunday joint with creamed horseradish and a yorkie...shepherd's pie with cheesy potatoes on top...plaice 'n' chips with mushy peas and a pickled onion...toad in the hole...bubble and squeak...a right fine Dot Cotton fry-up...oh, lord, I'm losing consciousness. I think i will make Yorkies this Sunday :-)

Maybe it's just me that doesn't like British food; the above sounds awful to me[:I][:w]

Or you could go up to Redmond, walk into British Pantry, eat at their Neville's restaurant or get some take-away! Want kidney pie or tea cakes? Good pasties for road food or other items (I recommend the Ginger Shortbread)? If I'm lazy, that's where I go. A pretty good selection of food items. Tea, did you say tea? It's served in the restaurant, or as take-away. It's about the only place left in Seattle where you can get fresh Taylor's of Harrogate. Also a selection of tea sets, cakes, condiments, and other things for expats and anglophiles.

Are they any good? Well, when any of the Royals come to the Northwest, British Pantry makes their food, even if they're in Canada.

There's also a kitchy English/Irish shop in Gilman Village in Issaquah - but I've forgotten the name. Good if you're out of golden syrup or treacle for holiday recipes!

Can't wait until you're on VS20? Shop here and pack your carry-on with edibles. A warning: If you can get all the take-away from SEA to SFO without eating it, you're better than I am, Gunga Din! [:I]

Looks like an effort has been made but not much.

I dread to think what the return will be like knowing the Indian catering team!

Best we have a burger and go to sleep on the outbound?
