Hello all, next silly question...

I just booked some flights, I see 'manage my booking' says it doesnt show until tickets are issued, and that tickets are issued only 2 weeks before the flights.

Maybe I am paranoid but I like to check the details well beforehand, do Virgin not send any confirmation out?

Do you have your 6 figure reference number (you should have got this when you booked?) If so, you'll need to enter that and your flight details and name, and your flight will appear, allowing you to make any seating or special meal preferences. You'll get your e-ticket any time between now and the week before departure.

Thanks,
Sarah

Hey
I booked through a travel agent. I called Virgin and gave them my details, and asked them if I could have a booking reference so I could access my flights online, and I got it no problem! My tickets were only issued this week, but I could manage my flights since August!

Just had a similar experience after booking flights using our agent Trailfinders. I was unable to manage my flights through the Virgin website, it seems that my agent hadn't released the ticket numbers because they wait to the last possible moment as any changes are very difficult once tickets have been allocated.

I've asked them to release the tickets so hopefully I'll be able to 'manage' online shortly. :D

We are flying to Hong Kong with Virgin in April.
As we are only going one way with them,i have been told i can not "manage my flights".
I do however have a six figure ref code but still could not do this on line.I rang Virgin Atlantic to reserve my seats, which they did .
Has any one else come across this problem?

Richard - seems odd that the VS system will not allow you to manage your flights online, when you can easily book a one-way flight on the VS website. (Although having seen the fares they charge for a one-way ticket - [i.e. full fare Y for Economy], you'd be better booking a cheaper return ticket & only using the outward leg).

This seems to be a regular problem with all airlines and train companies - if you want to book a one-way fare, particularly on an obscure route, you are invariably better off booking a return & just bin the return leg of the ticket.

James..we booked holiday to HK and Mauritius via telephone with Virgin hols. This was not avalible on line. We are flying onward to Mauritius after four days, with Air Mauritius and the return to LHR with Air Mauritius.I can go to my booking with V hols no probs on line...why not V Atlantic?
