Stung for more cash??

This is so infuriating.

After I booked and paid for my tickets to Miami, the fuel duty surcharge went down. I was told that because I had booked and paid for my ticket, the transaction was complete and that I would not benefit from any subsequent reduction.

Seems that this logic doesn't apply the other way around!

Visoflex, the difference is that it was the airline charging the fuel surcharge. If it went up, THEY wouldn't ask you to pay extra either.

In this case, it's the British Government dictating to the airlines that they must collect the extra payment. Not really a fair comparison.

6 weeks ago I booked and paid full cost for 3 x Virgin PE return flights to Miami in August 2007.

If Virgin had passed on the old APD charge to the thieving chancellor then that should be over and done with.

But Virgin as has probably held onto all of my money (gaining interest for 11 months) then they should absorb the increase.
Especially as Virgin have also charged me the old higher fuel surcharge for flights I am not taking until August.
