Ok, so hello! I'm having one of those days where I'm doing nothing but watching TV shows on DVD, so thought I'd do a little list of shows Virgin should have, (or at least have more of, as I know some of them are already on V Port) on their In Flight Ent system.

Curb Your Enthusiasm
Arrseted Development
Entourage
Extras
The Office
The Office: An American Workplace
Scrubs
The Sopranos
West Wing
Seinfeld
I'm Alan Partridge
Family Guy

They'd all keep me happy during a flight! Any other thoughts?
there ya go then!

Yes, quite a few of those are already on the system. I'd like to see more shows from "French and Saunders," Will and Grace (which wasn't on my last flights) and Less Than Perfect.

can I also add House, I forgot how cool that was! Is there a list anywhere of shows that are already on V Port. I remember Arrested Development and The Office: An American Work place.. but have they updated the episodes of them yet... or is it still the same ones?

Sex and the City - all six seasons
The last Rugby World Cup final (something good at least in the current climate)
This Life
Every Take That pop video
Leona Lewis on the X-Factor highlights
Queer as Folk

:D

Wonder if VS will read this?

We had a thread on this a good while back, my vote was for BBC Classics, load up V.Port with Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Steptoe & Son and the like, and i'll be very happy for the duration of my flight! :) Note, these need to be whole series, not one or two episodes like VS seem to offer with many other programs.

Thanks,
Sarah

My vote would go with the hugely underrated Coupling series.

I'd like to see more sport programme's/highlights of recent games etc... as I think us sports fans get a pretty poor deal at the mo. I also would like to see Dragon's Den/The Apprentice or similar style shows[y]

Ah, Decker and I think alike!

Heroes
Medium
(and many of my friends would vote for anything Stargate)

As for the rest of the shows, well, I'd rather watch a film or sleep! (Bet you can tell I don't watch the tv much!)

We can already see from the answers so far that they will not easily be able to please everyone. However, I would like to see them varying the content around a little more often. I have not noticed the content changing much during my travels and those of us that travel more than once every 6 months might appreciate more variety.

I'm with Sarah...bring on the Blackadder and Fawlty Towers, although I fear I may embarrass myself by laughing too much;)[}:)]

Decker - Gilmnore Girls - you dog!

VS045 - laughed so hard watching Paddy and Max, the FA trying to set for breakfast, had to go away because she was laughing watching me.

Agreed on a whole series that is brilliant.

Also last year I started watching Sex Traffic and got about 80% through before landing, would love to catch up with it.

Me too. Also second the mention of Coupling, though that was on VS flights for a long time a while ago. I think I watched every episode they had several times over.

It would be nice, given that they have the capacity, to have more episodes of each show rather than the token one or two we seem to get these days.

It's interesting how 30-minute-comedies are the most popular answer. Initially I assumed that was because a) 30 minute attention span is often as much as you can do at a time on a noisy busy cramped plane and b) we all need cheering up when we face the stresses of travel..

But actually I think sit-coms and the like are suited because of the picture and more importantly sound quality you get when in-flight. Even with decent NR headphones on, the drone of engines/air-con/etc still drowns out a lot of sound detail from programmes, meaning a subtlely voiced drama or documentary could have a lot of its sound/voice/speech drowned out. Sit-coms tend to be higher in dynamic range and visually aided (ie. watching the character speak, you partially lip-read and body-read to aid understanding).
