I'm looking at a PE reward fare to HKG later this year.

With it been the first time I've looked at PE reward flights (so I didn't really know what spend levels to expect), I was surprised to see that you only need 72,000 miles for a PE reward fare to HKG, where as for the West coast US PE reward flights you need 75,000 miles. India flights are also 75K each as well.

Distance to HKG is ~5981 miles as somewhere like SFO is ~5351 miles so all West Coast flights are actually shorter so why is HKG less than a lot of other destinations for a PE reward? (not that I'm complaining)

I guess VS dont base their reward spend levels on flight distance any more [:w]

Indeed - but the Upper reward stays at 100k on the route. Very odd.
