Strange question....

Are the toilets downstairs on the A340-600? I know there is an Airbus with downstairs loo's - not sure which plane it was.

The wife is worried about going downstairs - says it wouldn't feel normal!!

I'd be worried too about going downstairs on the A346 :) The seat maps to the left might help you with this one ... :) Its all one level on the Airbus, the only people that get to go downstairs are crew and baggage handlers.

Thanks,
Sarah

ISTBC, but I seem to recall that Lufthansa has downstairs WCs on its A346s; so do some of the charter carriers, although not on an A346. It is down to the airline where to place WCs.

as HighFlyer says, the aircraft is all one level, so wherever the loos are located, they will be on the same level as the rest of the passenger seating areas.

Correct, this is an option airbus offers.

Lufthansa does have toilets downstairs on it's A346s - see here for details. However Virgin doesn't have any downstairs.

My Travel has the downstairs loo's on the A330. I thought Virgin took the option of the downstairs crew rest area on their A340/600's

The lower deck on the 346 has the option of either a crew rest, loo's or galley.

(Some?) DC-10s used to have downstairs galleys which apparently could be a bit of a nightmare when the trolley lift broke down[:0]

We have crew rest areas downstairs on the A340-600. She would see 8 crew members in their underwear if she got down there.
