side bins in A340-600

Hello,

I am flying PE VS005 LHR-MIA
Do the A340-600 planes have side bins (under the windows) to store hand luggage, like there are on the upper deck of a 747 on the LGW-MCO route

No side bins on any of the A340 A/C in any class I'm afraid. Every chance that you will get the brand new PE seats though [y]

As James says the answer is no. Its a shame because Imo they are another one of the features that makes the upstairs PE on the 744's so good and special. I like the fact I dont have to move to get my things when sat in the window seat and its also excellnet to put the food tray on whilst waiting for the CC to collect it.

Truth is - they are a "must" upstairs on the 747 - dont forget that the overhead lockers are puny!!! [:I]

Unfortunately, the shape of the fuselage doesn't make having bins on an A340 particularly viable.
