Well its only taken me over two years but finally made it to my 1000th post [y]

Just like to say that there's never been a forum that I have invested so much time in (I'm on 17 posts in Flyertalk and 2 on wdwmagic.com) and actually met people from - and wanted to meet them again!

I've made some very good friends on here and I can think of no other website I would belong to where I would get an email from members saying "we're off to Tokyo, fancy joining us on a G". Brilliant!:D
I doubt without talk of tier points, bonus miles, hotel recomendations and the like that you get on V-Flyer I would have visited the places that I have. Kuala Lumper being one example.

And I know for certain that before I stumbled upon V-Flyer I was perfectly happy sitting at the back of the plane. Its amazing how quick that changes! It still suprises me how many people I meet outside of this site think I'm totally insane for wanting to spend so much money on a flight. They even think its a waste of time collecting air miles. Mad fools! Thats why I like it in here.

Looking forward to more posts, meets, discussions, scrooge packs....

Great site!!! Keep it up!

Cheers!

Dean

p.s I'm flying to JFK on 28th Oct. VS 45 - Which plane will I be on? :D:D:D

Oh ... and you'll be on a 744, with good chances of V.Port! :D

Thanks,

If you just spent a few minutes browsing round the site I am sure you would have found this which would have fully answered your question[ii][V]. And even if you had not done so, I would have thought you would have noticed (at the top of your screen, in red for goodness sake) this little gem.

Damned newbies[:(]

Much as I hate doing this... ;) Congratulations - as Sarah says your presence and active involvement has definitely made the board (and the off line socials) a brighter place! Fancy doing a GR lunch one weekend? :)

Should I know what a GR lunch is as opposed to just lunch [?]

RHR is shut weekends I'm afraid. There's a few places shut at various times at the weekends - I guess the corporate wallet fails to open on these occasions.

Savoy for lunch on a weekend is very nice and actually very reasonable too!

That is definitely very good value. I sneaked out for Sunday dinner there while the GF was out over the Easter weekend, and it certainly wasn't that price :-(

Note - I got a slap on the wrist for wearing jeans.

His Tokyo restaurant charged more than that for breakfast[:0] but they did let me in with jeans,

Congrats on your 1000th post. [^]

I agree with your sentiments even though I haven't yet got to a social other then a meeting of a couple of distinguished V-Flyers in the Clubhouse.

Happy for you, Dean. I'd say "1000 quality posts" except I don't want you to get a big ego!

Best regards,
Chuck-
