A new Premium Economy amenity kit should be onboard from March 15th.

It contains a pen, eyeshades, socks, earplugs, toothbrush and toothpaste all presented in a stylish wallet.

No. The Premium Economy wallet is not made of cardboard [:p]

By the time you add the lip balm, moisturiser, a razor, shaving cream, polos and a nice silver pen, overall you still get a lot more amenities in Upper Class.

Cardboard (or whatever it was made out of!) snooze packs are now a thing of the past. In any case I think that subject has been done to death and this topic is about Premium Economy not Upper Class.

Humour can be a funny thing you know. The new amenity kit in Premium sounds very uninspiring and no doubt will go down like a lead balloon
But thank you very much for informin us all about the new kit and its content.

I was just trying to give everyone a heads up on the new Premium Economy kit. In future, I'll think twice before I bother. [n]

No, please, don't stop posting things like this! Really, there are those who might be new and who will read all the open fora, unaware of what has changed on VS, and will appreciate the news! Don't disappoint them.

To older VS fans, this might seem tamely old-hat, to talk about PE kits, but we were all VS UC/PE virgins once. Many new readers of V-flyer are Y pax, and want to know what's in store towards the pointy end they haven't been into - YET. As anyone knows, read this site long enough and you'll never fly Y again! Or, at least, not without a sigh and a whinge of sincere regret. :)

Jetstreamer

Thanks for the advance information. Can I echo the previous post and say that sharing information is the essence of what V-Flyer is all about - please continue to post

I was at the Business Travel show at Earls court today and the staff on the VS Stand made mention of the new PE amenity kit (but said it was so new that they did not have any to show. Also had a chat with the VS rep about the new Upper Class kit which was on show - it really was a case of "customer research said kits were not important - but once they were lost customers realised how much they missed them".

All credit to VS that they have responded to customer feedback[y][y]

The new kits are really good and are supplemented by the bowl of goddies

Do you know if this will be ex-LHR only or both ways?

GJ, please take a deep, deep, deep breath......now breath out...ok...relaxed a little ?

Jetstreamer, thank you again for your inside info, please understand that there are some here that are a little jaded when it comes to the amenity pack issue and VF being VF you will get a responce, both positive and negative and no matter what someone will bring up the hair brain idea of a scrooge pack, it is just a fact of life we have to deal with.

So thank you again [y]

We fly a week after that so it will be interesting to see what has changed thanks. The contents sound exactly the same, so I presume the designs are different. Look forward to seeing what's on offer. It's highly unlikely i'll ever see the UC kit to compare unless someone volunteers to look after my kids in Y ;)

I'm with GJ on this one, it should have 'PE' on the shoe bag and then the little tykes can be given it to house their PE kit in for school in. That is if the PC police haven't banned PE at schools yet, it's a decade this year since I left education.....

A whole separate thread would be for those people that think PE is business class, clue is in the name I thought.

GJ, I would gladly display my PE kit with honour[8D]

So, what will be the difference betweeen the Econ kit and the PE kit? Does this also mean that at some point the food choices will be different as well?

The food is different. There are still three choices but served in china dishes with metal cutlery - and you even get a menu now.

BTW, from the picture that I saw, the kit is branded with the words "Premium Economy" and the pen and eyeshades are also branded "Premium Economy"

I thought so too [?]

However, a recent TR by Gavin, suggests that he did not get his first choice of meal in PE because they had run out [:?]

BTW, the new PE amenity kit sounds great. A nice finish to the new PE product. Thanks for the info JS.
