Not much in it between them. Recline identical. leg room limited on bulkhead seats but nobody reclines into 'your' space. Rear row is my fav because you don't have to worry about those behind you, and they are not right next to the loos (unlike the 346).

Please, has anyone travelled PE on an A343?

Best seats please, legroom, recline etc.. must be window though!

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Ian

Yes - flew back from CPT about 18 months ago - but the config is slightly different on the UCS aircraft - there is now an extra row I think. ( check out the non-suite seat ratings to give you a better idea!)

Its a relatively small cabin area and I remember going through to use the UC toilets ( sorry UC peeps). We checked in early and got the front row which is row 18 - the seats were good, leg room is of course excellent here and the service was up to the usual PE standard!!

I don't like the bulkhead seats as you have to use those footstools which I find less preferable to the fold down ones. TBH, there's not a lot of difference; the main decision is whether you'd rather have a pouffe footrest or a fold-down one.

Counting to ten...you know we really do need to add a devil smiley on here.

Ok back on topic...yes, I prefer the rear seats as well, I always feel like I have to keep my seat semi upright, again though it's down to personal taste.

Glad to see there is someone with a sense of humour as warped as mine?

They are the old type, similar to what's on the MAN/LGW B744's now, although on the A343's there's no leg rests, just one of those silly foot bars on the seat in front.

All the Virgin flights have the new Premium Economy Service and dedicated crew now, awaiting the refit of the new seats.

Bet the Bombay service still has the old PE seats? Can anyone confirm that this is the case and when/if the new seats will be fitted to the ageing A343 aircraft?

Thanks

I was pleasantly surprised by the older W seats on the 343s...

http://www.v-flyer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16935

They have some very nice touches, and I didn't feel sore or stiff after the flight. The only downer was the seat anchors and IFE stuff under the seat in front are a bit messy, and you might kick them from time to time.

They are definitely better than the "plastic terrors" which are on the LHR 744s and originally on the 346s.

I can't compare them to the "superseat", because last chance I had to try one, I got an op-up to J.
