Please note the Washington Clubhouse will be closed between 26th and 28th Feb for a mini-makeover.

It will reopen on 1st March. There will be no substitute facilities available other than vouchers for use in the terminal restaurants and 5k miles as a gesture of good will.

Bugger! I fly back from IAD on the 27th.....

Do you know how the voucher/miles will work? Pick up at check-in?

I would have thought they'd be issued at check-in but not 100% certain.

As far as I'm aware it's just a lick of paint and a bit more seating in time for the extra service but you never know there might be a few surprises in store.

Well, I'll be there on the 5th. It did n't look in need of a make over.

Well, it was closed as advertised here. The check-in staff explained and were nice enough to include my travelling companion (who is FC Red) in the offer of $25 lunch vouchers and 5K miles each, although I have to manually submit the claim for the miles to FC.

You could consider $25 to be a bit on the stingy side, as we elected to have lunch in Harry's Tap Room, which (including the wine) came to $45 per head. However, $25 would have easily covered lunch in any of the other establishments in the B Gates area, and as Harry's was our choice, I'm not complaining!

I looked on the VS website but couldn't find mention of the closure anywhere. This could have been made clear in the News section perhaps? Thoughts anyone?

Cheers

Tony

As I said I'm not aware of any drastic changes just a fresh coat of paint and some more seating - I wouldn't get too excited, it's not going to be a match for LHR or JFK.
