Any chance of "family" membership subscriptions happening mods?

Interesting suggestion. I'm in favour of the idea - just need to figure out the logistics of how to implement it. Where's my hammer....? ;)

Pete

Any update on a "family membership" rate Pete?

Thames Hotel Update

Whilst I have booked out the whole hotel for the RBS, there have so far only been a few reservations confirmed.

The hotel now advises that they have been asked to accommodate wedding guests on that night, so there is some pressure on us to take up our allocation.

May I ask that those of you wishing to stay at The Thames confirm your bookings with them as soon as possible. In these changed circumstances I may have some difficulty keeping unallocated rooms open for five months!

Thanks in anticipation.
Barry.

Sorry Barry

Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it this year as July is always a very busy month for me with one thing and another.

And me too, with apologies. Remember to splice the mainbrace in my absence, and I hope I can trust Jetwet to welcome Mrs Mark on my behalf.

Guys the idea is that more people should join the Cruise not that people should jump ship! You will be sorely missed.

Mr DL and I are still planning to attend but DB has "expressed an interest" in coming too (however her wicked parents still try and leave her at every available opportunity with her indulgent grandparents).
Would she be welcome at the RBS? She is house trained, articulate and generally well behaved (as MarkJ will testify). I'm somewhat apprehensive as I had a pretty negative response (via PM) from one previous (ie now inactive member) last year when asking the same question (when said grandparents were planning a jolly jaunt and unsure of their availability). In the end the indulgent grandparents changed their plans to accommodate DB so it wasn't an issue.
This year there's no problem with the indulgent grandparents, it's just that DB would love to come and meet everybody!I need to gauge the response as I need to get the room booked in the hotel.

Mrs D and I have no problem. There is a precedent for "under age" people attending. The attendees WILL be behaving like adults but like "reasonably" responsible adults. The biggest problem is likely to be explaining EXACTLY why the adults behaved like children. Hopefully see her there...

Totally agree with Decker - and having met Bec I see no reason why she shouldnt be able to attend.

Hi Julie, of course she would be welcome to attend - I am sure she has seen adults behaving like children before ;)

Having taken our little un to many a v-flyer party I can only say that everyone has been brilliant with him. Even Katzenjammer[:I]

No objections for this v-flyer and look forward to meeting you all again.

Hi Bazz

As much as I want to sign up and come and meet you guys I will sadly not be attending this time. The distance is a bit too far for me to travel this year (I live in Wigan) and being a student I've gotta try and spend my money wisely (hard enough as it is [:I]).

If there's ever a V-Flyer social up in the North-West then I'll do everything I can to be there.

Hope you all have a good time [y]

Morning all

I take it that the shin-dig is still a go for the 14th?

If so, add me to the list and I'll try the Thames Hotel for a room.

Will be great to put faces to names while trying to remain upright, sober and most of all dignified. [^][:$]

Cheers
