Full report please James ... i need to know whether to allow a full hour for the free nuts and 'Gulf News' or whether less time will suffice [:P]

Thanks,
Sarah

Makes perfect sense as Gulf is a VS partner. NZ in SYD, etc.

Sarah

I used the Gulf Air lounge in Dubai a couple of years back, and it was the closest I have ever known to a CH.

Lot's of nice food... a lot more than nibbles. [y][y]

OK back home now [:#]

IMHO the Gulf Air lounge was OK but nothing special. There was a selection of nibbles and drinks but the lounge is quite small and soon fills up - it's next to gate 22 I think (the VS flight left from gate 18). There are 2 internet PC's but Artur was able to use free WiFi whilst in the lounge.

Full TR for the VS401 on it's way :)

A few more of us are off to DXB in the next few weeks. Has anyone else used the Gulf Air lounge over the last 12 months or so?

Looking for any tips, it would also be good to hear if any improvements have taken place or any extra facilites are available.

Thanks in advance...:D

I was there in December, the airport was very busy outside, so it was a nice quiet haven to be in, but as others have said it isn't anything special, we had eaten breakfast at the hotel, so just wanted a coffe, the OH had some pastries, they were OK he said. It is a long walk from the check in though! The lady at the front desk was very nice, and came around and told all the VS pax that the flight was boarding, as there are no screens in the lounge. It's no LHR CH, but yet to find a lounge that is!

We were at the Gulf Air long in November and it's small and very busy. Wasn't impressed. I've been in much better lounges

Thanks for the info everyone. Sounds like I haven't got much to look forward too then.

Looks like a lie in and breakfast elsewhere...:D

We used it 31 Dec 2006 and thought the same, it's no great shakes.
