Denzil.
You are right in what you state, however, I would envisage the floor drain emptying directly from the plane when a certain altitude was achieved. I am certain being low levels of fluid they would dissapate immediately.
Several posters on this site mention foul smells coming from the wcs if they are sat too close. If the wcs maintained a negative air flow or to explain myself better if they were more of a vacuum than the main cabin air/odours could never leave the wc into the main cabin.
Infact vice versa air would always be drawn into the loo.

Maybe this is already in place and the problem is they just cant handle the capacity on full long haul flights

Ian, you might not be interested in what Tony and Denzil are discussing, but there is no need to reply in such a way. The online environment is such that it can be really difficult to determine if a reply implies sarcasm or rudeness, so lets all keep it friendly guys.

Besides which, 4 pages and we are still taking about the toilets? British humour obviously goes above and beyond :)

Thanks,
Sarah

And on that note ladies and gentlemen may I please remind you all not to eat the yellow ice falling from the sky [:$]

Actually I think it is a nice change to have a little tech talk on here for a change [y]

I have been participating in said conversations, so I felt sloping floors was just too much for me! Sorry guys if I upset you?

No upset - just "snoring" at another's comments CAN be perceived as dismissive. ;)

I'd like to know what the two of you are doing in there in the first place [:0] - having a Ralph Fiennes moment? [:w]

I always thought UCS in the bubble always had dedicated toilets at the front. [:0] Although, on a recent flight to SFO when I travelled UCS in the bubble, I was disappointed to see a constant stream of PE passengers using the front loo's. Ok, it may sound pompous but I paid a lot for the seat and the privacy I thought the bubble offered. I mentioned it to crew but they ignored it. [:?] I always thought PE had loo's in the bubble at the top of the stairs, perhaps I was wrong.

Also, I've been finding recently that a curtain is drawn between the two front loo's in the bubble. It seems that the captain et al, are trying to reserve one of the loo's. [?]

As far as cleanliness is concerned, I often find someone has missed the loo and left a puddle of #1's on the floor. Thank god for the UCS socks, although they could do with rubber bottoms or a gautex coating. [8D]

Ugh, I have to put my shoes back on to go to the loos.[:(] Couldn't bear to be in there with just socks on my feet. Nonononono.[:0]

Best loos were when we came back in BA Club from NY. I have never been to the loo on a flight as often. Lovely Molten Brown soap and hand cream too.[y] Very disappointed in Virgin UC loos, and also the way PE passengers use them too!! Taken a lifetime to get to travel UC and the whole loo side of things was just yuk.[:(!]

It certainly seems as if lavatories, toilette and all things 1s and 2s are the bette noire of current V-Flyers issues ... interesting how what goes around comes around (reference major crisis in off topic section ;)) and now that PE, food, service and amenity packs are all on the up, the bogs are the focus of attention! I fear that this is one we might not win [}:)][}:)]
