Did anyone read the article in the travel section of last Saturdays Telegraph (24/03/07) regarding insuring airmiles. Has anyone out there done this yet?
The company suggested was http://www.travelinsuranceweb.com for those persons aged 49 & under.
For those 50 & over its sister company wwwholidayinsuranceweb.com was suggested.
The article stated that the policies were basic & to check the scope for cancellation carefully but, very unusually the policy covered for flights paid for in the form of 'airmiles or any other form of redeemable vouchers'.
I am not a whizz to be able to put the article on the screen but, if no-one has previously mentioned this article there must be a way of doing so via the 'Telegraph's website.

The article Roxy's referring to is towards the bottom of the page at this link, and the original article that prompted the question is here.

It's an interesting idea, but I can't say I'd be tempted away from a more mainstream insurer just to save the miles spent on an award ticket (most of which I could probably recover, anyway).

Best wishes

David
