This really doesn't surprise me.

The DXB market just seems to keep growing. Isn't there something like 26 flights a day already to/from the UK now [:0]

DXB is catching up on New York as well.

DXB must be fairly high up the list for new CH sites also...:D

DXB has an "open sky" policy, so all VS need is the slot out of LHR.

Dubai is the new NY, and the flights will only get busier. :)

Just checked what the loads were like for my return from DXB on Easter Monday - Still 25 seats in J available.[:0]

That's a lot of seats to have available for one of the busiest travel days of the year...:)

We had that on our return flight from DXB, when I asked at check she said that there was over 20 seats available, when we got on board there was about 3 seats free! [:(!] The other classes weren't full, so the crew must of had friends on board!

Hope you have a good time in DXB! And of course UC! [y]

Last August there were just 15 pax in UC on our flight, good for us but not for VS;)

I would be quite surprised if VS doubled the DXB flights at the moment to be honest.

Me too; VS don't exactly have a huge surplus of a/c in the coming months.

Agreed- can see an extra a/c being used to much better affect (or is it effect [xx(]) by adding frequency to existing routes or indeed opening new routes such as YYZ for example.

With Nairobi and ORD starting on the 340 soon there isn't a lot of excess capacity in the fleet. However, the London-Dubai route is definitely a big and growing market and although an extra frequency wouldn't be my top priority I'm sure it could be feasable with extra a/c.

Seems however that Virgin have added an extra flight to Washington, the VS55/56 according to this

Ouch - 11:10pm departure[xx(]

How can loads justify this; I would have thought only those on business would use this route and surely VS can't fill a second plane load of biz travellers.

The 55/56 are scheduled to be a 343 rather than a 346 for me next month. The flights were wide open for reward flights in UC when I booked last week.
