The shortlisted nominees for this years V-Flyer Awards are now available in the news section

I've also had a chance to process the survey results that were attached to the nominations, and this stuff always fascinates me. The data is below so you can take a look for yourself.

The winner will be stated at the London Eye? The BA London Eye?

I am surprised that 54% say they pay for the flights themselves given the high percentage of business class travel and wonder if some of the 54% are business owners/directors and answered that question that they paid because they own the company?

Well I don't see a section in that chart for reward flights, personally I would put that under paid myself ?

Perhaps there should be a 'bit of both' answer in future? I imagine most will have chosen the category that applies to them predominately.

Fascinating stuff though Pete!!

Thanks,

Before Ground staff were outsourced the people at LAX were meant to have been fantastic.

That's Excel for you. There is a figure in that column, but rounding meant it was too small to show up in a percentage value.

They were, and it had a lot to do with a particular member of staff there who has previously won a Flying Club Hero but has since moved on to another airport.

Since that individual moved, LAX haven't made much of an impression in the V-Flyer Award nominations.

Good point; they/he were/was and I think I know of the individual to which you refer;)

Very interesting stats.

Is great to see MCO shortlisted- for a while I have been impressed by the very efficent and friendly staff there- they do a fab job with the at least 3 daily flights. [y]
