Hi Guys

Kinda been discussed before (but we will not mention reward seats [:w]), but have been trying to book a long weekend to MCO, but seriously struggling to find some Z fares until end of April, May time. Can usually get 1 Z and 1 D.

Surely with 2 or 3 flights on most days, there should be more availability in U/C. Is it not a victim of its on success, with only having 14 seats.

Do you think when they refit the new P/E seats on the LGW/MAN fleet (eventually [}:)]) that they might look to increase the U/C capacity, or is it just the LHR fleet that they are juggling round with the capacities ?

thanks

Just to add to the above, with the shortage, plus the problems with shuttles (i.e. non checking through of bags, but more importantly loss of baggage allowance - BA shuttles allow 1 bag @ 23KG later this year - great when you have you U/C allowance from Virgin [:(]) you start looking at BA to MCO .... not to good [:?]

YES! Move the flight to LHR please. Nearer for me and loads more UCS seats.

Of-course you know what that also means - LHR FARES! I guess you would see a Z class increase from £1400 to at least £1800/£2000

On a serious note I believe that VS are with holding G and Z fares on weekends. I know it is all about supply and demand but I think VS are taking the michael! My advice, follow my example and book BA. I checked several long weekends between now and April and plenty of availability in Club ranging from £1300-£1500.

COME ON VS PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS GOING ON HERE! You have lost my business totally at present. I have 4 return flights booked so far (8 flights in total) and NOT 1 is with VS.

I was looking at MAN-MCO-MAN flights for Nov 2007 yesterday. On the weekends, VS have not released any of the cheapest fares on the VS075 [early MAN-MCO] flight for the dates I looked at.

I even checked ExpertFlyer & the Z, W, N & X fares are all showing as 0 availibility for the VS075 on Saturday departures in Nov 2007 at the moment. If I don't mind flying out on the VS073 a few hours later, I can bag the cheap fares (& get caught up in immigration at MCO with the arrivals from LGW on VS & BA).

I don't know how VS Revenue Management work, but would have thought that if someone wants to give you circa £1400 for a return Z fare some 11 months in advance, then you would have a good offer to sell to them - especially on a B&S route where the chances of getting a business traveller at the last minute with £4000 or so to spend is minimal. (These were MAN flights I was looking at too, so no expensive Clubhouse for VS to run / provide - more a "pay on the door" lounge which is open to anyone for about £17, so VS probably pay under £10/head).

In the meantime, I'll keep on checking ExpertFlyer - when VS release the Z fares for the flights I want, I'll book. But as Paul has said, above, how much money / business are VS losing with this approach on the B&S routes?
