To pay by PayPal, please forward to [email protected] and please allow for the PayPal charges so that we end up with £40.00 net per head.

The PayPal charges levied are as follows:

One ticket (£40.00) charges £1.61 payment required £41.66

To all the above posters, your funds have arrived, thank you!

To the rest of the crew mates, please ensure payment is made by the end of the month, if this is a problem, please PM me.

Finally, if you are planning to stay in the hotel I suggest you confirm your reservation with them ASAP. The trip is right in the middle of the wedding season and we are under some pressure to release rooms. I am not sure I will be able to keep unallocated rooms open beyond the end of this month without a confirmation.

The 50-50 has swung in favour of a wee jolly to New York I'm afraid. Ah well, there's always next year (and Edinburgh!)

John, sorry that you have decided to go to NY when you could have been getting p*ssed with the rest of us. ;) I mean what does NY have to offer over and above a trip on the Thames with a load of anorak and anorak wannabes - nothing I can think of [:?] Ahh wait, is your missus going with you? Then I can think of a differentiator, a bigger whole in your wallet! Love to you both and we will keep a berth or two open for next year, enjoy NY!

Dosh arrived, thank you.

If it is the highlight, it is only because of the caliber of the V-Flyers who choose to attend.

It will be a great experience to re-acquaint ourselves with so many friends whom we have met through V-Flyer and also to meet so many new shipmates for the first time!

The event is coming around so fast, I do urge those of you wishing to book the hotel to do it a soon as possible.

...oh and if you haven't yet paid, your contribution would be most gratefully received.

Erm, Bazz! I think there's more likely to be a "hole" than a "whole" in his wallet. The last thing it is likely to be after a weekend in NY is whole!! :D

Mrs JAT is actually NOT going to NY with me (it's a bit of a business trip) but she would indeed be able to put a "whole" big "hole" in my wallet - she will be doing that regardless as we are currently moving house!!!

Doh, yes HL you are correct, mistake left in post for my future embarrassment [:I] I was trying to think of something witty to say about Mrs JAT74L spending the whole of his money.;)

HL,
It's usually our resident linguist Decker who keeps everyone's grammar, etc. in check; so, it's refreshing to see a new face on the patrol [^][y].

John,
Did you ever think that just one post would elicit this much silliness?;)

Sorry that you will not now be able to make it Julie, hopefully we will see you next year?

Will those who have not paid please do so as soon as possible.

It is not helpful at this late stage if you drop out when the boat is confirmed and we are committed to fixed costs. I will have to ask for contributions from you, otherwise it is terribly unfair on the members who have to make up the shortfall. I hope you all understand this?

I have this morning received an email from the GM at the hotel asking me to release some rooms, I did state earlier in this thread that I would not be able to hold the rooms open beyond the end of May.

I urge all of you who want to stay at the hotel who have not yet booked please do so now as a matter of urgency.

For those who have not been before and still considering coming along, the event is always very good fun with some lovely scenery and a chance to meet and catch up with others from the V-Flyer community - it is well worth coming along so why not give it a go?

Let's go, folks! This is a great event and our friend Bazz does a wonderful job putting it all together. Food, fun, wonderful English countryside scenery, music, and best of all -- your V-Flyer friends all together for a terrific evening.
