Hi,

I'm flying to LHR-LAX on July 3rd in PE, and I'd really like to get a ride in the new PE cabin. I understand I should angle for an A346 for this, and using the historical data on the 'which aircraft?' page tells me I should go for the VS023. However, this is listed as an A343 route on the main 'which aircraft?' page.

The alternative, ths VS007, is listed as an A346 route, but historically has been half 747 and half A346. I'm inclined to go with the historical data, and hence the VS023 - thoughts?

On second thought, can the people at reservations tell me which aircraft is scheduled to fly the route?

Thanks a lot,

Ben

Expedia lists both flights as A346 for this date so this should be what VS have in their system.

Thanks for the speedy response. I didn't know Expedia showed this info, that'll come in handy in future! I know it's subject to change, but how likely is that in people's experience?

The 23 is always a 346 a/c (unless a last minute swap). The 7 is also scheduled to run on a 346 during the summer but this may well be upgraded if the loads are filling up and they can take a 744 from a less busy route. The 7 has normally been on a boeing in the summer so id go for the 23 to be sure, however if you go for the 7 and it is a boeing you could get PE on the upper deck!

And the B744 is normally just under an hour quicker
