Interesting article in The Herald (Scottish Newpaper). The article was primarily about the ne Flyglobespan daily flight to BOS from GLA but also included the following;
"Virgin Atlantic will also operate six flights throughout summer to Orlando on 747s, the biggest passenger jets to fly from Scotland. The airline is likely to expand into the Caribbean from Scotland next year. Last year 561,331 people went to and from the US to Scotland, up 28% from 2005".
VS have already added extra frequency for 2008 & sales must be looking good (if they can ask up to 125 pounds flight supplement they must be sure of demand). One site mentions VS using the A343's from regional airports in a couple of years time.
