Not strictly about VS, but related to flying with them:

The last time I travelled through T3 (end of March) they opened up the new 'improved' forecourt that they've been working on for months between my outbound and inbound flights and when I got back to pick up my car from valet parking it was utter chaos. The traffic was nightmarish anyway, no one knew where to go, the BAA 'assistants' were making things worse, and it took me ten minutes to get away from the kerb once I'd finally got the car back to me.

So, before I repeat the performance in a couple of weeks' time, does anyone have more recent experience now that presumably (hopefully) things have settled down somewhat?

It's settled down, but still a bit of a mess...

Unless they get real strict with the moronic abandoning of cars, vans etc. that goes on, it will never improve.

preiffer is spot on and alot depends on the day,(weekends are worse) and time of day, there are even more forecourt staff on duty and TPCSO's but there are only three kerbs to drop off the fourth kerb nearest to the terminal is reserved for coaches, london taxis, and trolley vehicles if you mess up and get moved you have to go round the block which can take 10mins if busy i found out at my cost :-(
