I've just remembered a conversation I overheard whilst at the VS ticket desk a couple of weeks ago. The VS lady told a pax that when all the refurbishments were done Virgin Pax would have their own security area away from the other pax. Is this true? Sounds very nice, but not sure how true it was, anybody know?

Yes - it's becoming a "terminal within a terminal"

Is that for all passengers travelling with VS, or just those people lucky enough to be on a J or D ticket and therefore qualifying for a CDC and kerbside check-in???

The lady I overheard said it was for all pax, which is why I was dubious. It does sound a very good idea and a good "perk" for VS pax.

I'll try not to be cynical ... oh no why bother! Unless VS wish to pay more to BAA I can't see how this will improve time although it might make the process smoother - there'll be the same ratio of security screeners to passengers as elsewhere, and in the peak morning period I should think it will still be busy.

Save the effort, slinky;)

I'm also a bit cynical and doubt it'll make much difference except in quieter times for VS, like early afternoon check-in for the 23 and 001.
