Can someone please point out the obvious to me...
Can I use my £40 APD voucher with these fares or are they online only?

Seems like a bargain. Problem is that to avoid the tripling in price that occurs during the week of October half term, I'd have to miss Richard Thompson at the Roundhouse on the 20th October. The question is, would he miss me ?

Apparently you can. James and I were talking about this yesterday, he asked Flying Club and was told that you need to book with them on the phone, and send your APD voucher in by recorded post. I am sure James can clarify?
Makes these flights even better value really!
Thanks,
Sarah

Yes I asked this question yesterday and you can either use the vouchers in a travel agent where you hand over the voucher to them or you need to call VS and book your flights over the phone. You then need to send your voucher in to VS recorded delivery.
You cannot book online if you want to use your APD voucher.

The system seems to work as well. I was told that my eticket wouldn't be sent out until they received my APD voucher. I sent the voucher by recorded delivery, and the next day my eticket appeared. [8D]
Upstairs in PE on a 747 on the Boston route both ways, which is a real bonus. [y]

Is that just luck or does they use different aircraft over the summer - "Which Aircraft?" shows just 1% chance of a 747 over the past 3 months? A good chance of an upstairs PE might just be the tipping point for influencing the other half that late August is a great time to visit Boston on a value PE fare.
Thanks

I am guessing they have switched to a 747 for the Fall season, as both my trips are scheduled to be a Jumbo. I don't know this for sure though, it has been an Airbus throughout the Summer AFAIK.

Thanks. Hopefully the promise of the VS seat pre-allocation system will come to pass. If my cunning plan comes to fruition I'll let you know whether it's a 747 over bank holiday weekend.

Well, we took the plunge and booked - return to BOS in PE! First time flying in PE, am so excited! Now I have to see if the seats its given me are any good or I should change them!
When are you flying ? I booked for the three of us on the same route and it plonked us in the centre three Row 21 on an A346. I had a gander through the VS preallocation tool and the only other availability was at the rear of the cabin.

Hmph! There was I rushing and racing to get in before the end of the sale and making it with just under an hour to spare and then they go and extend it! Typical!
