Let's go, folks! This is a great event and our friend Bazz does a wonderful job putting it all together. Food, fun, wonderful English countryside scenery, music, and best of all -- your V-Flyer friends all together for a terrific evening.

And on an even better note...I won't be there this year [y], no threats of mutilation, no bad jet lagged humor, no everyone going "what the f**k are you doing here [:0]"
So there you go, just another reason to go have some fun folks.
If you need another reason to go this year...I will be present in '08..so why wait 2 years for a trouble free night out [y]

What's the timetable for the event? I wasn't expecting to be around for this, but it now turns out I'll be in the area with the family on Saturday. I won't drag the wife and boy along for the event, I can't imagine they want to spend the weekend with a set of my virtual friends, seeing as how they'll be hanging around LHR on Friday waiting for me to finish a meeting with a different set of my virtual friends (I got a new part-time job as director of the Professional Contractors Group, the trade association for freelancers - http://www.pcg.org.uk - any members here?)
So, if theres a possibility of catching you all for a drink before you set sail, let me know.

Hi v8gaz, people will be turning up at the hotel from around midday onwards, most will be in the bar (in order to get their "sea legs") before we set sail around 18.00 to 19.00. We leave Maidenhead Riverside at 19.30, returning at 23.30 there is still plenty of room on board if you decide to come, needless to say we would love to see you, and the family!
A quick check with Weatherman Emu says:
Fair. Light Westerly breeze and temperatures around 20c dropping to 15 in the late evening. More importantly, no mention or rain.
Obviously a lot can change in the next 48-60 hours.
