Spending miles on CO flights

Hi folks
I'm planning on going to the west coast next summer and as I can't book any reward seats with VS I'm opting for Co.

Has anyone ever used miles to book a flight with them? If so how was the availablity?

When we were planning out trip to MCO for Christmas we did seriously look at CO, before more VS availability became available.

Availability did not look too bad (it was around Christmas) but CO also have additional available which is not blacked out - basically if it is there you can buy it - the price unfortunately is double the normal rates.

I have no experience with Continental, but would be interested to learn which routes, dates, classes and how many seats you are after and had no luck with VS?
